Biograhy:
Moving to Laguna Beach, California in 1998 from the East Coast, Kenyon established purelagunabeach Gallery after being inspired to capture the local mood and colors that are so unique to Laguna through an ongoing series of oil paintings. More than portraits of the ocean, Kenyon's work captures the multifaceted spirit of contemporary painting. Step back and the viewer is taken in by the intangible force of the ocean, a step closer shifts the focus to subtle color fields that mimic the reflective quality of light against sand and water.
Primarily working with oils on canvas, Todd strives to push technique and construction, creating works that are monumental in scale and unique in approach.
A constant supporter of the local arts culture, Todd has participated in the Annual Festival of Arts since 2007 and again in 2010. Todd and his wife Caroline reside in Laguna where Todd paints full-time often out of a studio located inside purelagunabeach.
purelagunabeach also features other Laguna based artists alongside Todd's most recent work.
