| | Biography: | Although Maryanne Jacobsen has described her work as "a gallery of forgotten dreams", her body of original paintings is hardly forgettable. Indeed, her vibrantly-colored oils have been described by collectors and fellow artists as lyrical, inspired and 'dramatic art for passionate people', since color is the motivating theme behind each piece of art she creates. Collectors are always enchanted with her deliberate impasto and unabashed use of color, and new paintings are quickly acquired. Her work is being enthusiastically collected throughout the United States and abroad, and she has been accepted into dozens of juried shows, collecting numerous awards along the way.
| | Statement: |
Maryanne Jacobsen is a colorist and contemporary impressionist with a distinctive and unforgettable style. I strive to create paintings that capture the light and colors of God's very own magical canvas and sacred palette, which He shares with all who choose to see His signature beauty, light and vibrant color. Primarily a self-taught artist, my works are being collected enthusiastically throughout the United States, as well as Europe, Japan and Australia. Corporate collectors include the Ritz Carlton in Naples, Florida. My signature style is that of a vibrant colorist that tends towards contemporary impressionism. |
