Biography: Eugene Kuperman is a Californian artist who is from originally from Ukraine. Eugene follows classical traditions of painting, and has studied with some well known artists such as Leonid Steele, Anne Marie Karlsen, Mario Baratucci, and more. Eugene currently exhibits and has exhibited in galleries and museums due to the art group he is in called "Art of Inspiration". He also continues to strive toward perfecting his skill in traditional art.

Statement: Eugene Kuperman is a 24 year old professional artist, who started drawing and painting since he was 7 years old, now he is living in Los Angeles. During the last 17 years he followed the classical traditions of the artists of the past. He was a student of Anne Marie Karlsen (a well known American designer), studied with Alexander Antonyuk, a Russian master artist from Ukraine, took lessons from a famous Russian artist Leonid Steele, whose works are in Tretakov Gallery, and studied with many more known artists. He had also studied art in Paris and in the Louvre, under Michael Shrier, also a well known American artist. Eugene works in different styles sych as : Expressionism, Realism, Impressionism, Surrealism. He paints still life, scenery, portraits, and he is also a proficient landscape artist. He exhibits his art works in museums of Moscow, St.Petersburg, Vorkuta in Russia and the Russian Museum of Contemporary Art in New Jersey (C.A.S.E Museum). This Fall from September 26, 2010 until November 1, 2010 he had his personal exhibit on 5th Ave New York- Manhatten, two articles and a television debut was produced during his exhibit in Manhatten, about him and his work. He is also a member of the international club of artists and photographers under the name of "Art of Inspiration". (Brooklyn, New York). Eugene wants more people to pay attention to nature so that they would see how essential and important natural habitats are to our environment as well as to Earth itself. He wants there to be more preservation and less destruction of forests and natural habitats around the world, which supply us with an essential element for life which is oxygen. He portrays the beauty of nature through different mood that are caused by it, and he treats it as an expressive subject matter in his art. He visits natural parks regularly for inspiration, he has been in Yellowstone, Grand Teton, Yosemite, Sequoia, Denali, Bryce, Zion, and other natural habitats.

Education: Accepted and awarded in the Beverly Hills Affaire in the Gardens Art Show 2011. Eugene Kuperman had studied art since a very early age, he had studied with a Russian master artist Alexander Antonyuk throughout highschool. After he went to Santa Monica College, where he studied with artists such as Nathan Ota, Anne Marie Karlsen, Mario Baratucci, and more. He later went to Otis College of Art and Design where he completed his foundation year studying subjects extensively such as life drawing with Beverly Bledsoe, and more great instructors. After he transferred to Art Institute to pursue a Graphic Design degree, which he is currently working on. Despite all that, Eugene exhibits, paints commission works, and works on art every day.

Awards: Eugene received a certificate of Recommendation from the Mayor of Beverly Hills and the City of Beverly Hills for his art. He also received a Daily Deviation award twice on www.deviantart.com. Eugene received second place with one of his paintings in a contest on the theme "Blue" on www.deviantart.com There was also three newspaper articles written about Eugene and his work, 2 from New York and 1 from Los Angeles. There was a television debut about his work from New York the same time he had a private show in Manhattan. Eugene currently is receiving every quarter a Deans Honor Roll award for having a GPA of 3.84.
