| | Biography: | Dorothy began sketching as a child, I found that creating a likeness on canvas was easy for me. This God given talent became a career later & a lifelong study of the figure and faces. Studies include training under several professional artist in the Texas area. I hold a BA in Arts from the Turner Studio in Houston. Have traveled to Europe & all over the US studying the old & new techniques. Have been painting for over 40 years. I am a portrait artist with the love of landscapes around me.

Painting people in their own element is exciting for me. Since this is not always possible photography helps. A snapshot can become a beautiful painting that families treasure. Portraits can be done in oil on canvas or Watercolor. Animals are also very good subjects. |
