Biography:	Amy Martinson graduated from Kent State University in 1999, which was the second top school in the nation for the field of fashion. During her years at Kent State, Amy created an Asian oriented clothing line for Sears. Her creativity also influenced the designers of Express to expand their business into a new sportswear apparel division. Soon after graduating, Amy founded the Cleveland branch of Second City wanting to expose talented and uprising artists. Amy's hard work and dedication landed Second City on the front page of The Cleveland Free Times. Amy relocated to Los Angeles in 2001 where she used her creative abilities to develop movies from beginning to completion. In 2008 Amy shifted her focus to advertising and marketing. While working at Paramount Studios, she rebranded the entire studio with her skills of creative design. The aspect of photography in creative design inspired her to pursue her passion in fine art photography. Amy Martinson's work has been exhibited at the "Post Daytime Emmy Awards" and the "Affaire In The Gardens" in Beverly Hills. She also has regular showings at her gallery located in Los Angeles.
Statement:	My passion for photography began at a young age when my father introduced me to it. The natural ability to see the world through the camera soon expressed my creativity in some of the most amazing photographs ever taken. By traveling and exploring undiscovered places, I have captured some of the most beautiful landscape scenery that our planet has to offer. I can feel it when I see the perfect shot. A good photographer is entranced by the moment, the exact moment when an amazing photograph can be captured. My photographs are the result of majestic landscape scenery, the perfect lighting, and the coalition of colors that surround our world. A sense of excitement overcomes me when I discover that special instant that I know will take people to another place. My photographs are a medium by which your imagination takes you to that ultimate escape. An escape from the ordinary life of the modern world into the remote natural world that has been created over millions of years. My photographs are the means by which to pull out something beautiful from inside you. I believe that we all have that special drive within us.
